Zohra Lasi, MS, APC, NCC
Sometimes the noise both outside and within can get so loud that it creates chaos and conflict in various facets of our life. It may start spilling into work, our romantic and interpersonal relations or our education, dreams and aspirations. This noise can be a result of many things including past trauma, adverse experiences or lack of support from our environment. I invite you to connect with the parts of yourself that feel the need to scream to be heard. I invite you to lower the noise by allowing yourself to heal. You deserve to live a life that you wish for and I would love to support you as you make that happen.
I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe haven where you feel accepted, understood and valued. While the beginning of counseling can feel strange and uncomfortable, together with time we can create a space for you that meets your individual needs and allows you to feel comfortable and open.
A little about me! I completed my Bachelor of Science in Child learning and development and Psychology at the University of Texas in Dallas and my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Methodist University. Through my schooling and clinical experience, I gained skills to work with various mental health issues some of which include anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-confidence issues, marital conflicts, family conflicts and trauma. I am passionate about working with people of color, immigrants, adult individuals, couples and families. I speak Urdu and English fluently and if needed, I can be quite fluent in humor!
